The educational programs at Holbury are developed by our fully qualified pre school teacher and are implemented together with our highly experienced early childhood educators, with a focus on creating a warm and supportive atmosphere for children and families.

We undertake a collaborative approach to program development, guided by Allison Hall (Educational Leader) and Janine Bekker (Director). Our team all hold tertiary qualifications in the early childhood field, along with years of professional experience.

All staff members hold current first aid qualifications, training in ChildSafe (prevention of child abuse) Standards and ‘working with children’ checks. We are all local members of the community and bring practical experience to our teaching roles as well; between us we are parents to 14 children.

Allison Hall holds a Bachelor of Education from RMIT and has a genuine love of engaging and teaching young children. She is passionate about guiding pre-schoolers to thrive and learn, and has been helping children at Holbury succeed for over ten years.

Janine Bekker has been the director at Holbury for 12 years. She holds a Diploma of Social Science from Swinburne University and is dedicated to ensuring the Holbury experience for every family is personalised, friendly and relaxed.

Kate Simmenauer is Bachelor of Education qualified with many years of experience in creating a calm, nurturing and welcoming environment for young learners. Her gentle approach in understanding each child’s needs and building upon their interests is a wonderful attribute to her educational approach.

Linda Hallcroft is diploma qualified in early childhood education and care, sharing her knowledge and skills with enthusiasm, joy and individual attention for each child.

The teaching team pride themselves on going the extra step, every day, to create an environment that is settled, stimulating and supportive.
